Why Not Use Premade or Open Source Solutions?

Premade shopping carts create a lot of limitiations to what a business can do with their website, which we at WebDuck Designs find unnecessary.  These premade shopping carts are what they are, for the most part, and you are not able to build and expand very much upon them.  Little customiztion can be done to premade stores so if you want the flexibility to customize your online store to look and function the way you want, premade stores are not for you.  Open source shopping carts are not recommended because they are easy targets for hackers.  This is because open source shopping carts were created by many different developers, giving them the know-how to hack into any OSCommerce or other open source store.
